Whether or not the British rapper Bobby Vylan's call for"death to the IDF" at Glastonbury constituted hate speech, the crowd's reflexive adoption of his chant is deeply worrying.
Thank you Joshua but I don’t consider myself particularly brave. I feel compelled to write these pieces out of frustration at all the invective and because of my belief (perhaps naive) that if people stopped to consider other people’s perspectives for one second they might discover it’s possible to hold two thoughts in their head at the same time (of course, this excludes conspiracy theorists who have taken the “wrong” pill).
